Bulawayo Pulse

Get listed, free.

Run a business in Bulawayo, work for yourself, or know a place that belongs on the map? Shops and offices, but also plumbers, tailors, tutors and private practices, under whatever name you trade as. There are ways in for everyone, and none costs a cent.

Put it on OpenStreetMap

Bulawayo Pulse rebuilds its directory from OpenStreetMap, the free map of the world that anyone can edit. Add your place there once and it appears here automatically after our next data refresh, and in hundreds of other apps worldwide as a bonus.

  1. Create a free OpenStreetMap account (two minutes).
  2. Open the editor centred on Bulawayo and find your building.
  3. Add a point with the name, the right category (restaurant, pharmacy, hardware…), and ideally a phone number and opening hours.
  4. Save. That's it. No approval needed from us.

Not comfortable editing a map? Fill in our short form and we'll add your place to the curated directory. Community entries are verified by a moderator before they publish, so this path is slower but hand-checked.

Just the name, category and suburb to start, plus anything else you know.

Honesty matters here: listings must be real places with accurate details. Anything that can't be verified doesn't go in. That policy is what keeps this directory worth being in.

Bulawayo Pulse shows where every fact comes from and when it was checked. Open submissions with no gatekeeping would fill the directory with spam; a heavy approval queue would slow everything down. OpenStreetMap solves both: it has its own global community keeping edits honest, it versions every change, and our refresh picks up the result automatically. You get listed without asking permission, and the directory stays trustworthy.
